Listen: Is Austin City Hall a Boys Club?
Thursday, September 15, 2016 by KUT News
On Tuesday, the Austin Monitor and Glasshouse Policy hosted a forum that addressed issues surrounding recent allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation at City Hall, as well as a training offered to city staff last year – a presentation that garnered national attention for its sexist overtones.
The discussion panelists were Mayor Pro Tem Kathie Tovo, Austin-American Statesman reporter Lilly Rockwell, the Austin Chronicle’s Mary Tuma, Carol Guthrie of AFSCME and City of Austin Human Resources director Joya Hayes. The discussion, which you can hear in full below, was moderated by KUT’s City Hall reporter Audrey McGlinchy.
