Austin Monitor Civic Leader Award
The Austin Monitor is excited to announce the nominations are open for the first-ever Austin Monitor Civic Leader Award. This special award recognizes the distinguished civic leadership of a fellow community member and will be announced at the Austin Monitor City Summit event on October 5th at the Long Center.
We are currently seeking nominations for individuals that have positively impacted the community in one or several of the following areas:
- Informing and bringing greater awareness to an important community issue or issues
- Convening community members to discuss and address an important community issue or issues
- Elevating and encouraging democratic participation such as voting or running for elected office
- Notable leadership or involvement in a community project, cause, or organization
- Notable volunteerism or inspiring others to volunteer
- Exemplary leadership and commitment to a public service role such as serving on a board or commission
