At the CAMPO nominations committee meeting this morning, Frank Fernandez and John Langmore were the top vote getters out of four finalists who applied to serve in two newly created positions on the Capital Metro board. One position is intended to go to someone with 10 years in finance, the other to someone with 10 years running an organization.
The two other finalists were Rick Burciaga and Richard Maier.
The full CAMPO board will vote on these two recommendations on Nov. 9, but it seems unlikely there will be other nominations for these particular seats. Sen. Kirk Watson and Rep. Eddie Rodriguez created these two positions in the new Cap Metro legislation passed during the last session.
