Today, the Capital Metro Transportation Authority plans to unveil preliminary findings from the Connections 2025 transit study that has been underway since this past fall, and the agency is looking for public input on the whole thing. For context, every five years, Cap Metro studies its bus system. This year, according to a press release about the study, it found that: since 2000, costs have increased and ridership has decreased, 35 percent of daily ridership occurs within five bus corridors, more frequent routes are more productive, and MetroRapid routes are faster than local buses. OK. If these findings — and the more detailed report that will be released — are of any interest, then join one of the public meetings taking place between May 17 and 19.
