The new fiscal year brings with it new fees and fee increases at the Development Services Department, beginning Oct. 1. According to an announcement from the city, the new fee structure – which can be found here – will affect “Site and Subdivision Review and Inspections, with minor changes in Tree Review, Building Inspections, Zoning, and other development-related services.” The increases are intended to cover “the full cost of providing development and permitting-related activities,” which include new initiatives introduced this year, such as remote sign-in and online payment services. In a continuation of the effort to streamline permitting processes, the department will also soon be launching its ePlan service, which will allow development plans to be submitted and reviewed electronically.
