The Austin Animal Center is hosting a free clinic this weekend to provide rabies vaccinations and microchipping for dogs and cats that are at least 12 weeks old. Pets that are younger don’t qualify for vaccinations, but they can still get a microchip and free ID tags with registration in the Animal Services database. The center asks that dogs arrive on leashes, cats in carriers (or boxes with breathing holes) and puppies in crates or carriers. Pet owners with questions can call 311. The clinic takes place Saturday, Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Richard Moya Park, 10001 Burleson Road.
