Having recently wrapped work to Lamar Boulevard and Rundberg Lane, the Austin Transportation Department now sets its sights on the corner of Lamar and Parmer Lane. The work, which will cost an estimated $647,000, is part of a slate of Vision Zero Action Plan projects to make Austin streets safer for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Road users can expect lane closures for the next month as crews modify right-turn islands and add high-visibility crosswalks to the intersection. This summer, ATD will focus its efforts on the intersection of Slaughter Lane and Manchaca Road.
