It’s CodeNEXT forum season, and today will feature another panel on the Land Development Code rewrite. The community forum, called “Zoning for Justice,” will take place at the Cepeda Branch Library from 6:30 until 8:45 p.m. According to a press release, the forum will focus on issues of social and economic justice. The panelists will be: Carmen Llanes Pulido, executive director of GO Austin!/VAMOS Austin!; Jane Rivera, co-chair of the Housing and Real Estate Committee of the Mayor’s Task Force on Institutional Racism; Stephanie Trinh, Zoning and Platting commissioner and AURA board member; and Thomas Visco, policy director at Glasshouse Policy and policy adviser for Evolve Austin.
