Time magazine has included the Austin Central Library on this year’s World’s 100 Greatest Places list. The diverse list was selected from over 1,200 nominations, and it includes destinations around the world like the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama; the Temple of Mithras in London, England; and Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nominations were evaluated based on factors such as influence, originality, innovation, quality, and sustainability. Just two other libraries made the cut: Tianjin Binhai Library, in Tianjin, China, and Al-Qarawiyyin Library in Fez, Morocco. View the full list at time.com/greatestplaces.
