The city has been exploring ways that the Fire and Transportation departments can work in concert to ensure public safety and mobility function at the most efficient level to keep all residents safe and sound. If you have ideas on what kinds of factors the departments should be considering as they move forward with this collaboration, there’s an upcoming community education meeting where representatives will be on hand to share the short-, medium-, and long-term strategies they’ve come up with so far and take suggestions for further improvements on these, or ideas for new ones altogether. The session will be on Monday, Sept. 17, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Cepeda Branch Library.
