The city’s Music & Entertainment Division is planning a series of stakeholder meetings through February to determine how live music and entertainment venues, hotels and residences can coordinate their efforts and achieve harmonious results for all. Stakeholders in the hotel, music and entertainment industries are invited to attend. The sound summit comes on the heels of a resolution City Council adopted on Oct. 18, directing staff to find ways to improve compatibility among Austin residents, lodging establishments and music venues. The initiative kicks off with a Sound Compatibility Best Practices Forum on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 3-4:30 p.m. at Austin City Hall. Participants can attend via Facebook Live.
