The Capital of Texas Media Foundation, the parent organization of the Austin Monitor, announced late Friday that it had been awarded 501(c)3 tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. CoTMF purchased the then-In Fact Daily from the Austin American-Statesman in October 2013. It had been operating under the fiscal sponsorship of the Online Journalism Project. […]
