Austin’s Urban Forestry Board is responsible for developing comprehensive urban forestry plans and, under City Code, may plan and recommend any actions which the board determines necessary regarding “the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs and other landscaping” in public areas.
