Gather at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center on Saturday afternoon for the 12th Annual Juneteenth Festival. Enjoy live music on the Juneteenth Memorial Lawn, a human gyroscope, mobile video game arcade and a multitude of other activities. There will also be an appearance by the Soultree Collective, a group that supports young musicians. On the museum side, attendees can also take in the Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom exhibit, the Juneteenth Sculpture Garden and an ongoing screening of PBS-KLRU’s “Juneteenth Jamboree.” Para Agboga, museum site coordinator, gives an opening address on the historical significance of the day at noon.
