The Travis County Commissioners Court is asking qualified individuals to apply for openings on the Central Health Board of Managers. What’s needed are people “who will represent the interests of the county as a whole, as well as supply exceptional vision, business and administrative skills, and commitment.” One appointment becomes available on Jan. 1, 2021 and runs through Dec. 31, 2024. Health care experience is not necessary but “understanding of the current health care system and a commitment to improving the patient experience is preferred.” The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.
